Quasinormal spectrum

Every mode (l, m, n) of a Kerr hole as spin runs from 0 to 1 − 10⁻⁶ (lines), and where it is now (dots, sized by how loudly this merger excites it). Right is higher pitch; higher up rings longer. As a → 1 the l = m modes slide onto m·Ω_H (dashed) and stop damping.

live output · ticks: the quasinormal modes of the last note
Each note is a brief burst: the (2,2,0) mode and its overtones, gone within a few dozen cycles, the overtones first. Spin the hole up and the lines climb and ring longer.
